Turkish Cargo continues to invest in digitalisation

Turkish Cargo has continued with the digitalisation of its operations with the integration of Robotic Process Automations (RPA) to minimise error rates on information entry and for spot rate approval.

The airline said that RPAs would reduce error rates and costs while improving employee productivity and the speed of operation. The software has been divided into four sections: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta.

“At the initial phase of the robotic workforce, integrated into the air cargo processes, Bravo will be in charge of the spot rate approvals, Charlie will be in charge of checking the mail rate, designations and duplication thereof, and Delta will be in charge of the cargo booking. Whereas Alpha will enable the harmonic functioning of the other robots with each other,” the airline explained.

The airline said it is also investing in the digitisation of processes and infrastructure at its SmartIST facility at Istanbul airport.
