Veterans may receive a 10-14-day supply of food, enough for two people, as Haverhill Veterans of Foreign Wars Lorraine Post 29 participates in a statewide Food4Vets distribution, Saturday, Oct. 3.
The one-day event is rain or shine and takes place Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the VFW, 576 Primrose St., Haverhill. Proof of military service and pre-registration are required. Participants simply drive up, pop their trunk and receive food boxes with minimal contact.

Food4Vets is a joint venture of the Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, Clear Path for Veterans, New England Patriots, New England Revolution and many other businesses that have stepped up to combat food insecurities during this pandemic.
