SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has constituted 7 members interdepartmental expert committee to oversee the procurement of e-Buses and to finalize the terms of the contract for the procurement.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of an Inter-departmental Expert Committee, comprising of the following to oversee the procurement of e-Buses and to finalize the terms of the contract for the said procurement”, reads the order issued by the General Administration Department.
As per the reports, the committee will finalize the RFP for e-buses and it’s related operations. The committee will look into the technical specifications of e-buses and all related machinery equipment and infrastructure etc.
Further, the committee will examine the Financial Model of procurement of e-buses along with the Legal aspect as per the terms and conditions of the contract. They will also look into the availability of spaces for Depots, Charging Stations and any other operational requirement as required. The committee shall finalize and submit the RFP within a week’s time from the date of issuance of this order.
The committee shall be headed by CEO, Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) Chairperson. The other members include CEO, Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department, Managing Director, JKSRTC, Director, J&K Motor Garages, Chief Accounts Officer, JMC and Law Officer, SMC.
