29-Year-Old Worcester Man Arrested for Fentanyl Distribution

WORCESTER – A Worcester Police officer on patrol saw an exchange between two men near King St. during the evening on Saturday, August 29, which led to the arrest of Edwin Torres, 29, of Worcester, for distributing Fentanyl.

The officer saw Torres “… walking aimlessly, with no apparent destination,” around 7:30 PM, according to Worcester Police.

Another man approached Torres shortly thereafter and an exchange between the two took place.

Supporting officers stopped the buyer and discovered a substance that they believed to be Fentanyl in his possession.

Torres was arrested and faces charges of Distribution of a Class A Substance.
