26 pallets of facemasks are helping save lives in the Mohawk Valley.
The huge donation allowed the Johnson Park Center in Utica to host a giveaway for neighbors.
Leaders say people from different agencies and organizations took boxes to help spread the masks throughout the Mohawk Valley.
“Some of them are really strong in outreach,” said JPC COO Rev. Ursula Meier. “They go to different places, and we need to saturate the whole Oneida County and the Mohawk Valley with facemasks.”
Giveaways will continue at JPC’s drive-thru food giveaway on Monday, Nov. 23 from 2 to 7:30 p.m., and their Walkers Food Giveaway on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
