  1. Thousands of families received free meals thanks to food distribution events across North Texas this weekend. The Dallas Mavericks partnered with Minnie’s Food Pantry to host an annual Thanksgiving giveaway, CitySquare Food Pantry gave away 1,200 turkeys to Dallas residents with vouchers, and The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas and Baskets for Good partnered to assemble and deliver Thanksgiving food baskets to more than 400 local families.   2. Police are investigating an aggravated sexual assault incident that happened in a Dallas park late Friday night. A woman who was walking the trails through Katie Jackson Park, in the 9100 block of Haverwood Lane, reported being overpowered and assaulted by an unknown assailant, described only as “a man in a hoodie.” Police are reminding those living in the area to be alert and report any suspicious behavior, anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers.   4. Dallas police are currently searching for the person who fired a gun inside Bruton Bazaar on N. Prairie Creek Road on Saturday. One man was grazed by the bullet, but not taken to a hospital, say police. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  5. The Dallas County Justice Initiative placed and dedicated a memorial marker this weekend for Allen Brooks, a man who was lynched at Main and Akard streets in downtown Dallas 111 years ago. (WFAA.com)
