Here are the top three stories in Cleveland today:

  1. The Cuyahoga River will enter a major flood stage by Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service Cleveland. Homeowners in Valley View are warned of possible flooding accompanied with multiple road closures. The flooding is caused by rainfall, rising temperatures and snow runoff. (Cleveland 19 News)
  2. The Cleveland Fire Department rescues dogs that were trapped in a housefire. Crews responded to a home in the Collinwood-Nottingham neighborhood on Wednesday after reports of a housefire. No injuries were sustained during the emergency and the department is currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the blaze. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. The Ohio Department of Development issues $10 million in grants to 40 Ohio livestock and poultry farmers. The grants are an attempt to strengthen the supply chain during a time when the country is facing supply chain issues. The selected companies will receive approximately $250,000 each to expand capacity. (Cleveland Patch)
