2. Tens of thousands made their way to Bayfront Park this past weekend for Ultra Music Festival. On Saturday, 53 more people were evaluated and 16 were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (NBC Miami)

3. The funds for an 800-room hotel at the county-owned Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center came from the $350 billion American Rescue Plan, also known as the COVID-19 Stimulus Package, drawing ire from Republicans for wasteful spending. The hotel was among the projects the Associated Press identified as “spending disasters” because of “permissive” Treasury Department rules. (WPLG Local 10)
